Grass Fed Health

Our grass-fed and finished beef isn’t just delicious: it's good for you! Our cows spend their whole lives ranging over the hills eating the grasses and clovers they were designed to eat. As a result Broadview Beef is lower in both fat and calories than conventional grain-fed beef. As an example, a 6-ounce grass-fed and finished steak from Broadview has approximately 100 fewer calories than a 6-ounce steak finished on grain.

Broadview Beef is also higher in Omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for enhancing heart health, as well as reducing the risk of arthritis, obesity, insulin resistance, allergies and autoimmune diseases. Additionally, Broadview Beef is lower in the Omega-6 fatty acids that may contribute to development of heart disease, cancers and depression. And because our cattle are grass-fed and finished our beef has twice as much beta-carotene as grain fed beef, which is helpful in reducing the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease.
