Play Days June 27From BroadviewRanch.com
Parelli Play DaysFriday, June 27th and Saturday, June 28th, 2008 What a wonderful time we had at our Parelli Play Days and Trail Rides. Friday afternoon was filled with arrivals, setting up camps, playing on line, and trial rides. This was followed by a relaxing pot luck dinner in the barn, watching a video from the Success Series and lots of great discussion. Saturday started off bright and early as this was day the Tilson family selected to have their once a year calf working. By 6:30 a.m. all the cows and calves were rounded up. As the morning progressed the calves were separated from the cows so they could be run through the chute for their vaccinations etc. Lots of family members from all over showed up to help and the job was finished before the heat of the day.
Sunday saw more trail rides,Treasure Hunters and schooling over the cross country and stadium jumps.
Pre-event Write UpIn response to suggestions from our Play Day and Mock Tournament in April we are expanding our Play Day in June. Because of travel times for some participants, the play day will span two days. We will have activities on Friday afternoon as well as Saturday. Come for one day or both days. We hope this will make for a more relaxing fun time with your horse. Primitive camping (i.e. parking in the field) is available at no charge - port-a-john and water spigot available at barn. Other lodging is available in Lexington. This time instead of a Mock Tournament we will hold some structured play times as well as free play and group trail rides. This should be an excellent learning experience whether your Parelli journey is just starting or you are well on your way.
