Level 3/4 Parelli Retreat with Carol Coppinger
Advancing Liberty and Scenic Riding Out
Old friends and new gathered in anticipation as we prepared to spend the week learning from Carol Coppinger.
This retreat lived up to its name as a retreat. For 5 days, Broadview Ranch enabled twelve Parelli students to ride, play, laugh and learn together without interruption.
The beautiful Bellfry provided complimentary housing in a country lodge with all meals provided right on the ranch. The fare was Virginia home cooking with natural grass-fed beef, forest fed pork and free-range eggs all grown right on Broadview.
Our days started with liberty, then went on to hours on the wooded trails and open hilltops followed by an afternoon of individual one-on-one sessions with Carol Coppinger. Every day included ample time for self study and quiet time with our horses.
Each day had its own excitement - cross country obstacles, water crossings, introduction to the Broadview pigs (yikes!), mountain terrain, long line driving, carrot stick riding, knot tying , a midnight labyrinth walk - to name a few.
