Eastern Mennonite University 02-10-08From BroadviewRanch.comEastern Mennonite UniversitySunday, February 10, 2008 An Eastern Mennonite University graduate level class entitled “Trauma and Transformation” taught by Nancy Sider came to Broadview Ranch for a retreat weekend. On Sunday they met with Carol at the barn and talked about how the natural horsemanship work with horses relates to work with trauma victims. The main points covered were: modulating your energy level as a way of communication, the reflective nature of emotional energy, good leadership following the timing and pace needed by the student, and teaching the student that shows up rather than the one that is expected. The high winds that day restricted our session to the barn aisle and generally hampered the whole gathering but it was an interesting and informative day.
